




ACMEC was founded in 1999 by Arthur & Pat Laing. Arthur & Pat were
Directors
of Laing Special Events which was one of Australia's most active and
successful entertainment touring companies. ACMEC work closely with
A-List
Entertainment, a comedy based company run by their eldest son
Artie. ACMEC
was initially formed to provide a record company for the artists Laing
represented, however ACMEC has become a major independent record
label and
distributor holding accounts with major retail chains and Australia
wide
independent retailers.
ACMEC has enjoyed tremendous success in its short history having
won the
CMAA "Independent Record Company of the Year" on three occasions.
Receiving
ARIA accreditation and a gold single with the Wolverines single
"Sixty Five
Roses" and reaching gold and platinum accreditation for DVD's such as
Puppetry of the Penis, Col Elliott, Umbilical Brothers, and multi
platinum
for David Strassman's titles, Live and The Chuck You tour and for
the Carl
Barron Live and Whatever Comes Next DVD's.
