BHE Acquires Australia’s leading comedy label ACMEC. Beyond Home Entertainment has announced its acquisition of the hugely successful comedy label, ACMEC effective October 21 2008.
Acmec boasts a catalogue of artists which include the comedic talents of ARJ BARKER, DAVID STRASSMAN and multi platinum comedy giant CARL BARRON,
local favourites AKMAL & THE UMBILICAL BROTHERS who were recently nominated for Best Comedy Release for the 2008 ARIA awards.
Acmec also features classic UK Television series, On The Buses, Auf Wiedersehen Pet and A Fine Romance.
The new home of ACMEC will be BHE’s very own comedy label PUNCHLINE.
Future Punchline releases include new material from international talent including KATT WILLIAMS, STEPHEN LYNCH, PAULY SHORE and JEFF DUNHAM (Over 100 million YouTube hits!) as well as the best of local talent including CARL BARRON’S third release.
